The chair was surprisingly easy to assemble, well designed and with clear instructions. The lumbar support adjustment was an added plus, altho not perfect, same goes for the headrest. I really liked the adjustability of the arm rests, but since there was no up and down adjustment, couldn't use those features because the arm rests were almost 6" too high to be useful for me. I didn't care for the stiff, hard mesh seat as I wear shots all summer and it was too rough on my skin. While trying it out, I sat on a pillow case which made it better. I didn't have a thin pillow that was right to use without disturbing the posture effects of the chair. I'm a small person and the chair seat was really too big for me.Altho assembly was relatively easy, after assembly the height adjustment lever wouldn't move and the seat was frozen in the lowest position, which was too low for me. I found two email addresses for the company and wrote to both of them, but received no answer so just processed a return.Follow-up on 9/3/2022After I wrote the original review, the seller contacted me and offered a free replacement chair even after refunding the cost of the original chair that was returned. That was a very generous offer that he didn't have to make and I do greatly appreciate it.The new chair arrived a day earlier than anticipated and, again, it was very easy to assemble. After putting it together, I thought "oh, no" the height adjustment doesn't work on this one either. Then my partner found that the lever only works if you rotate it, putting pressure on the front while pulling up on the back of the lever, rotating it clockwise. It does not move up and down as the instructions show. I don't know if that was the problem with the original chair or not, I couldn't find that the lever only moved in and out but no other way. I had already purchased another chair that suits me better, so my partner decided to try it. The arms are actually a good height for him as he has his keyboard and mouse on top of his desk while mine is on a pull out tray underneath the top of the desk. The mesh seat doesn't bother him as he wears long pants all year so that wasn't an issue either. The only issues he had is that it doesn't roll as well as he would like on the modular chair mat he's using so will purchase a set of the in-line casters. The other issue for him is he has scoliosis and the lumbar support bothers his back but a small pillow has solved that and he likes the chair a lot and has expressed that he is impressed with the overall quality of the chair. I guess that every chair won't work for every person and, when purchasing on line, it's very difficult to make that determination before you buy it, I'm very small and he is almost 6 feet.I have to say that I'm impressed with their customer service and see that they make a concerted effort to keep their customers happy, a feature not practiced by every company. I've changed my rating to five stars as the product and the service warrant it.Just received this chair today (09/14/2022), and the assembly was 4 steps about 15-20 screws and all done. Very breathable with the mesh which is great for me personally. I get really anxious when in meetings and have to talk to other humans, so I get overheated. The mesh is a little rough on my bare skin, lower portion of my legs. The back comes up really high which I like. I haven't really used the headrest yet. It was weird to assemble, and very stiff to move up and down, but I suspect with more use it will loosen up a little. My greatest sadness are two items and probably the most important from an ergonomic perspective. The armrest is too bloody high! And I feel like it should be able to with the type of rotation and range of motion it already has. The length is nice, but not nice enough for me to be happy. The lumbar support piece is useless and does nothing for support.The pictures attached are comparison pictures. This review is for the chair that has the headrest.The ZL Ergonomic Mesh Chair is great! Only wished the arm rests could be horizontally raised or lowered. But the arm rests do easily move vertically back (out of the way), in line with the back of the seat, or horizontally in and out (for different support), all with the push of the release button.The "5:20 video, by Voice of the Customer" was very helpful. We copied most of his actions, lay all the parts out, and compared the inventory with the packing list and glanced at the instructions. The chair parts were packed very well, and we set all the pieces out after watching the video (referred to it as needed during assembly). After watching the video, it took my adult daughter about 15 - 20 minutes to assemble the chair.3 different screw sizes, and an additional spare 1 for each different size was included. And the only difference between our tool and the one on "Voice's" video, was the allen wrench. Ours had a T handle on top of it, which made it much easier to use than a normal allen wrench.Head rest and lumbar support are adjustable and supportive. Wheels roll easily on hard surface and chair mat, don't know about carpet. The mesh seat and back are comfortable. All things considered, we would definitely buy this chair again.The chair has been in daily use for four weeks, and no complaints so far.As other reviewers have noted, the chair is impressively sturdy and ergonomic. It's heavier than my last chair, which I sold because it didn't recline. This one reclines quite a bit—not so much you'll be lying flat, but enough that you will be very comfortable. I immediately notice the shape (curve) of the seat upon sitting in it, which is nice. It almost forces me to sit upright.My only complaint is that the armrest height isn't adjustable. As is, they collide with my desk, meaning I can't roll the chair as far in as I'd like without having the armrests up. But having them up isn't bad either.Curious to see how long the mesh will last. The chair feels sturdy, but in my head I'm like, "mesh doesn't last, does it?" We'll see I guess. For now though, a five star chair, worth every penny. No more back pain, no more neck pain.I've been working from home since 2018 and my old chair was just not supportive enough. My back was killing me! I've had this Office Chair for about 3 weeks and it has been a game changer! I love the fact that I can lift the arm rests completely out of the way and scoot closer to my desk. I also sit up straight in this chair which was an adjustment, but I feel so much better. I sit at my desk for 10+hrs a day and this was a great purchase!
