Advertised as acceptable for hanging folders; drawers are 11.5" inside width which are NOT compatible with letter-size hanging file folders which are 12.75" long with hanging tabs and 11.75" long without metal tabs. Drawers do not open enough to allow manila folders to be easily inserted or removed.This desk weighs a lot but it’s very durable. Assembly was a little difficult tho.I was using a stand up desk until I injured my knee a few months ago. I shopped for a new desk for several weeks before landing on this one when it became available.I was looking for a desk with a natural look and feel to it, so it would blend in with my tropical meets mid century modern meets Scandinavian design aesthetic. I am obsessed with the rattan/cane look, and this desk met all of my criteria.Its not a very deep desk, but I was able to secure a (same height) matching console to put behind it to deepen it's usable surface space. It is, however, nice and long, and there is lots of leg space. There is even room for my little office trash can underneath the main part of the desk. The 2 cane paneled drawers open and close smoothly and offer me lots of storage space for work supplies and documents.The desk arrived within a week of ordering it, and it came in undamaged condition. I tasked my adult daughter with the dreaded assembly! Keep in mind this is a sustainably built desk, so it is made primarily of particle board/mdf with wood veneers on top, so it's heavy and arrives in dozens of pieces. If you're like me and not good at furniture assembly, pay for someone else to assemble this particular piece, or you may break it in frustration! Lucky for me, my daughter is awesome at assembling this type of furniture, and can figure it out no matter how vague, misleading or wrong the instructions may be, and these had many faults. Many pieces were mislabeled, and the instructions didn't say what to do with some of the pieces. It did include all of the needed hardware, which was a relief! I'd estimate it took her about an hour to assemble it, and it's perfect!I love the ease of use, the great storage offered and the aesthetics of this desk, and it is incredibly priced. Other than the shotty instructions, I give this double thumbs up.
